Joseph McColgan, Managing Director

Joseph (Joe) McColgan is the Managing Director of the Consulting Group with over 40 years of experience in management consulting and senior operating positions. His focus lies in developing and mentoring managers, driving top line growth, improving profitability, and increasing overall enterprise value.

He has held positions such as Division Manager, CFO, COO and CEO, where he established strategy and tactics, marshaled the requisite resources, established metrics for measuring operating performance and developed and motivated the management team. He is a disciplined, high-energy decision maker who has a strong work ethic, is an excellent problem solver and has finely tuned interpersonal and communication skills.

Joe has advised clients in a wide range of industry sectors including consumer products, construction, specialty manufacturing, industrial distribution, technology ventures, engineering services, pharmaceutical and publication. His client associations include Sun Chemical, Facile Plastics, Tuck Industries, UPACO Adhesives, Kollman Industries, Annalee Dolls, Source for Automation, CHI Engineering, CFS Lumber, Craig Systems and Brockway-Smith.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Merrimack College, a master’s degree in engineering from Yale University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
